All students who participated in our Teen Yoga After-School Pilot in were asked to complete a survey on their experience in the programme and any benefits they experienced. After participating in 6 to 8 yoga and meditation sessions, 72% of our teen participants reported that they felt more peaceful.

Anxiety is very common in pre-teens and teenagers because adolescence is a time of emotional, physical and social change, which is happening at the same time as teenage brains are changing. With regular pranayama, yoga, and meditation sessions 82% of our teen participants felt less anxious.

At SOHAM we know that when we can bring calm to the body we can help achieve a calm state of mind. So we focus on using the breath and postures to calm the body first. To put it simply, calm body - calm mind. At the end of our pilot program, 72% of our teen participants reported that they felt more peaceful.

All students who participated in the Teen Yoga After-School Pilot in March were asked to complete a survey on their experience in the programme, of which 75% of participants provided their feedback. Teens were asked how they felt they benefited from their participation; 100% of participants agreed they benefited in some way.

I was at the camp on spring break and it was really nice. It's a yoga camp, and there's art and writing too. Miss Tiffany is very kind and intelligent, and I respect her a lot. It's quite admirable that she decided to do what she loves most.
